Who we are
Objectives
The Anson Charitable Trust (ACT) was established in 2005 to enable the Anson family to strategically support not-for-profit and charitable organisations.
The Anson family are based in Buckinghamshire and have a particular interest in local charities they can visit and have a personal relationship with.
The ACT’s main areas of interest include:
Social Organisations
Medical Research and the Sciences
The Arts and Culture
The Environment and Ecology
In 2025, over 50% of funding was to multi-year grants, with the remainder to new applications. New applications are reviewed on a monthly basis and successful grants are approved quarterly by the Trustees.
The ACT is entirely funded by the Anson family. For a list of charities the ACT has previously funded, please see the notes to the financial statements in Accounts.
Note: Grants to Individuals, and Student Studies are NOT supported by the ACT.
